About My Firm

I strive to provide my clients with excellent service. I complete at least 40 hours of continuing professional education in the areas of taxation and financial accounting each year, and I invest resources in various reference materials to stay informed about changes in the tax law, as well as changes in financial accounting. I adhere to the tax law and professional standards, but I also resolve questions in my clients' favor where the tax law is unclear, or where there may be conflicts between the taxing authorities' interpretations of the law and other supportable positions. All tax returns, financial statements, and correspondence go through a very thorough review before they leave my office.

As a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, I participate in the AICPA Peer Review Program. Every three years, I retain the services of a public accounting firm to test my compliance with quality control policies and procedures. These tests include a review of selected accounting and auditing engagements. My firm has successfully passed its peer review each time.

Because I am a sole practitioner, my clients deal directly with me. I encourage my clients to contact me during the year if an important financial question arises. My clients appreciate my input, and they are not forced to make decisions without having all of the facts. In my more than 25 years of operating my own accounting practice, I have developed personal friendships with clients, and this has been especially rewarding for me.
